Character Sketch and Color - Feral Bahamut

This was supposed to be a sketch upload for yesterday, but not only did I not make it (my sleep schedule has been going weird recently, -really- weird) I also decided to work on the colored version of this right away.
So, for today, I decided to show off both the sketch and the final, flat colored version.

This is Bahamut in what I call his 'feral form', where he's more like a normal dragon; four-legged but without his wings.
To make a long story short, do to events in an alternate past, Bahamut has was exposed to some demonic influences so that when he changes into this form, it takes on a more radical look than he normally would look.

I am a huge fan of this look, and I realized that I never really had a 'reference picture' of Baha in this form, so it was time to change that.
Nothing fancy or extravagant, just a simple one shot sketch and picture.

Sketch - Lonely Gene

Gene sat at the bar with his head on the counter and stared at the mug of root beer.  His mind was starting to wander, thinking about the places he had been, the people he had met and how he lost them all.

He felt so alone.

Random sketch doodle that I liked. Haven't drawn Gene in a long time.

Scribble Sketch - Bahamut

A bit of an odd update for today, since this isn't something I've done on a long time.

I guess the best way to describe this is as a 'scribble sketch'. I was staring down at a blank sheet of paper with my stubby little Col-Erase pencil with no ideas, so I just started to scribble, and somehow this started to form.

The way I describe a 'scribble sketch' is pretty simple; there was no under-structure, no lines, no real though put into this, I just started to scribble lines and such on the sheet until this formed.

This is far from perfect or even decent, but hey, it was neat, never the less.

Character Sketch - Quilava

Today's offering is going to be a bit odd.

I am not a huge fan of Pokemon and I really didn't have any interest in the design/concepts for anthropomorphic Pokemon (aka Pokemorphs), but the other day I had the idea of trying to do one for the heck of it.

There were a few problems though: if I really wanted to do this I wanted to choose a Pokemon that I haven't really seen a lot of (if at all), but that lead to the problem that I really don't know that many of the Pokemon and since there is a huge mess of them it's hard to keep them straight.

But in the end, I did choose one that I haven't really seen a lot of: Quilava.
So I sat down and worked out this little sketch of a Quilava Pokemorph.

I don't really have a lot of details worked out for him yet: no name or anything like that, so we'll have to see if I come up with anything more with him.

Character Sketch - Vandal

It's been a while since I did any sketching since I've been working on so much coloring, so I decided that I had to get back to it.

Today's offering is another character that I haven't drawn in a long while, my demon Vandal (technically he's half-demon and half-angel, but hat's a long story).

I haven't drawn Vandal in a long time, so when I tried sketching him out, I ran into some weird issues with his body, since the body type isn't a 'traditional' form.
I need to do more with him.

Character Sketch - Gene Pose

Small post for today.

I really had no ideas or inspiration this week, so when I sat down to try and sketch I ended up just sketching Gene and referencing a pose from Mega Man 7.
I really don't know if I like this sketch, the posing is alright, but the foreshortening and perspective of his arms really just bugs me.

Decent sketch, but one I doubt I'll do anything else with.
