Character Sketch - Alien Captain

Small sketch for today. Again, something completely random.

Not sure what I was going for with this, just some sci-fi alien creature.  Since I am a huge nerd, I can see this guy being involved in Star Trek somehow, if Star Trek went out of the 'human-like aliens' thing.
His clothing is meant to be a kind of 'dress uniform' I think, since I imagine the normal duty uniforms wouldn't have the robe-like appearance to it.

Character Sketch - Unknown Sailor

We have a bit of a random sketch for today; this fellow here is some unknown sailor character.

While the sketch itself was random, this actually reminded me of a character idea that came to mind long ago when listening to some music; specifically "One More Day" by William Pint and Felicia Dale, of a young and adventurous character that served on a ship and while he loved to be out on the sea, he always thought of seeing home again after a long voyage.

I would say he was a  hybrid, but honestly I don't think he is, I think he's just a race of his own. Aside from having fur and scales, he also has prehensile feet and a prehensile tail and normally he would have claws, but I think because of his status he was de-clawed.

The character I can see was a slave from a far-off land, but because of a disaster of some kind he is picked up by a sailing ship that hails from the mainland. Not knowing where he is, the character stays with the ship's crew and serves on the ship on whatever is asked of him.
Things take on a strange twist as the ship is overtaken by a violent storm and he and the survivors are picked up by something they never imagined; an airship called the Arvanche.

The character is so far nameless and I want to try and come up with a fitting name, something that is fitting for the young and adventurous nature he has. So far though, I'm not sure.

Character Sketch - Geminii on the Loose

Looks like someone tried to restrain Geminii, but he's gotten loose.

And he looks like he's a little upset upset.

Character Sketch - Runic Guardian

Another small sketch for today, done back in 2011.

I'm honestly surprised I never posted this before, it's small and messy but I still like it.
Anyway, small sketchy pose with Runic Guardian, done during a DnD game.

Character Sketch - Slave Zulo

This sketch is of a young Zuloroko only this time he's a slave.

This is an idea based on a different setting I play with another friend occasionally.

The idea is that Zack is a 'special example' of breeding, so he's kind of like a 'show piece' to his master, but due to events that may occur in the rp, Zulo here is thinking about attempting escape.

More of a fun/concept sketch than anything. Probably won't progress from this point.

Character Sketch - Unknown GELF

Small sketch that was part of a doodle page; this is my design for a unknown GELF character.

This was something that I had been wanting to do for a while since I started watching Chaz-Fox over on deviantART and reading his comic Intergalactic Truck Stop.
GELF I believe stands for ‘Genetic Engineered Life Form’, and are rather interesting and unique to the comic’s world and lore, and I had been wanting to try and design one of my own, but I’ve been hesitant for several different reasons. What spurred me into playing around with this finally was seeing that many others have done this already.

I don’t have a whole lot thought out for this guy yet, just wanted to try and get a design down first. Not sure what his genetic composition is yet, what his name is or what his occupation will be.
Hoping that fleshing him out will be fun.

GELFs and all things related to the Intergalactic Truck Stop is (c) Chaz-Fox.

Character Sketch - Little Bahamut

Just something small for today, and I mean that kind of literally.

Since I have zero motivation again, I was just doodling so this here is a small sketch of Bahamut looking, well..."Bahamut-y"?

Character Sketch - Starfleet Bahamut

I've been really bad at this 'daily sketch' thing, but I am trying to get back to it. Very, -very- slowly.

Anyway, today's posting is something for fun as well as a warm-up.

Here we have Bahamut dressed in a Starfleet uniform from Star Trek Online and looking very unhappy.

This was pretty much a random sketch I did for the heck of it.  Parts of it bother me; like the muzzle perspective and the slight tilt to his stance, but since it was for fun I'm not too worried about it.

I may work on this later, we'll have to see.

Character Sketch - Icarus

Small offering for today.

This character here is Icarus.
To be completely honest, I have no idea what I was aiming for when I started this sketch; I was feeling rather down/annoyed and I just wanted to sketch something. This was also a sketch that I had started, but had to leave alone for a few days before coming back to it.

I do like how he turned out, though parts bug me. I'm trying to figure out where he fits into things as well, so I have ideas, but nothing set in stone yet.

Character Sketch - Ageer

So...after dealing with sickness, some depression, lack of motivation and Star Trek Online's Second Anniversary (where I got a very awesome Odyssey-Class starship), I return with some sketches.

Today's offering is a sketch I did back in 2010 of a character I haven't shown off before.

This is Ageer, a large buffalo character I created back in an old rp I did with a friend.
Agreer is another slave from Dys, but due to his rebelliousness the demon lord Zeleme had trapped him on a particularly strange level of his domain; a level that is filled with snow and ice for some mysterious reason.
Because he had spent years on that level Ageer had become an ice sprite. Sprites were a concept my friend came up with for creatures that had developed an affinity for a particular element; she had a character that was a lightning sprite because he was struck with lightning, so Ageer became one due to how much time he spent on the ice level of Dys.
Ageer can have some strange control over ice and snow, but because of his transformation, he can't really stand warm temperatures well. In fact, he has to wear a mask because he can't breath warm air with some serious complications.

Agreer was a fun character for me, I like buffalo since they're unique and cool looking creatures but I also really liked the character Blizzard Buffalo from Megaman X3, so that helped influence his overall design.
It was also good practice since I am terrible at working with bull/tauren/minotaur-type characters and this was one of the first ones I actually liked.

Ageer was supposed to be inked and colors some time ago, but for some reason I never actually got around to it. I may have to remedy that sometime soon.
