We have a bit of a random sketch for today; this fellow here is some unknown sailor character.
While the sketch itself was random, this actually reminded me of a character idea that came to mind long ago when listening to some music; specifically "One More Day" by William Pint and Felicia Dale, of a young and adventurous character that served on a ship and while he loved to be out on the sea, he always thought of seeing home again after a long voyage.
I would say he was a hybrid, but honestly I don't think he is, I think he's just a race of his own. Aside from having fur and scales, he also has prehensile feet and a prehensile tail and normally he would have claws, but I think because of his status he was de-clawed.
The character I can see was a slave from a far-off land, but because of a disaster of some kind he is picked up by a sailing ship that hails from the mainland. Not knowing where he is, the character stays with the ship's crew and serves on the ship on whatever is asked of him.
Things take on a strange twist as the ship is overtaken by a violent storm and he and the survivors are picked up by something they never imagined; an airship called the Arvanche.
The character is so far nameless and I want to try and come up with a fitting name, something that is fitting for the young and adventurous nature he has. So far though, I'm not sure.
